Walnut wood comes from deciduous trees from the walnut family. The Walnut tree gets its name and it derived from Jovis which means "the acorn".
The trees will be 10–40 m high. The sprung leaves consist of five to twenty-five partial leaves.

There are more than a dozen species that exist all over the world. The wood of most species is traded under the name nuts.

Walnut wood is a hardwood with a fine-still-open grain. It always has a unique patterns in it and usually a distinct dark color. Walnut is easy to edit and gets a great look with the right machining with a clear quality finish.

Walnut is often dark. It is a hard kind of wood with a dense and tight grainy structure. The color can vary well through oil from creamy white to a dark color.
